Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) -- HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), graced the inauguration ceremony of the "Orange Corners" program, an initiative hosted by the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at PSUT.

The program, backed by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is being executed in partnership with iPARK and the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC).

The launch convened notable personalities, including Prof. Dr. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, President of PSUT; Prof. Dr. Bassam Hammo, Vice President for Administrative Affairs; His Excellency Mr. Harry Verweij, the Netherlands Ambassador to Jordan; and His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

Key figures such as Omar Hamarneh, Executive Director of iPARK, Serene Duwayri, Incubation Director, and Mohammad Obeidat, Director of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship, also joined the entrepreneurial enthusiasts present.

The "Orange Corners" program is geared towards fortifying 40 Jordanian startups, specifically those helmed by entrepreneurs who have achieved a minimum viable product and sustained operations for over a year.

It offers an array of developmental opportunities: business guidance, skill-building workshops, networking sessions, masterclasses, and invaluable mentorship.

Prof. Abu Elhaija underlined PSUT's vision to intertwine education with entrepreneurship, fostering a future-forward generation geared towards driving the national economy and pushing the boundaries of innovation.

"The 'Orange Corners' initiative transcends mere business inception; it's about inspiring the youth to wield their creativity, envisioning brighter futures, and transforming adversities into opportunities," she expressed.

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Hanandeh illuminated the ministry's commitment to buttress startups and SMEs, aligning with the nation's modern economic blueprint. "We're deeply invested in uplifting Jordan's entrepreneurial stature, not only on the national stage but also regionally and globally," he stated.

Ambassador Verweij championed the Netherlands-Jordan Business Support Programme's ethos: nurturing the private sector's growth, particularly among the entrepreneurial youth. "The 'Orange Corners' platform," he shared, "offers an amalgamation of mentoring, funding, and international networking, setting young entrepreneurs on a trajectory of success."

Highlighting the tailored support offered by the program, Serene Duwayri said, "From specialized training to logistical assistance and from legal counseling to marketing strategy, our aim is to comprehensively support and elevate these budding businesses."

In conclusion, Tareq Albitar, representing Zain Jordan, expressed fervor about ZINC's alliance with the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship. "This partnership echoes ZINC's ethos – nurturing innovation and backing the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives within Jordan," he elaborated.
